Season 1
Detective Inspector Kari Sorjonen is one of the most respected officers at the National Bureau of Investigation in Finland. When his wife barely survives brain cancer, Sorjonen decides to take his family to an idyllic small town near the border of Russia, to live a quiet peaceful life.
Season 2
In season 2, no one will be able to escape their past. The five crimes of the season are called Five Finger Exercise, The Rite of Spring, Cat’s Cradle, Bloodmaid and Without a Shadow. Each of these murder cases takes the viewer on a journey into humanity’s dark secrets in the midst of a small town’s summer idyll on the shores of Lake Saimaa.
Season 3
While juggling concerns about his family's future and a spate of new crimes, Kari squares off against an adversary who's been studying his past cases.
